I always think its bizarre how there is often random nudity in many kung fu movies. Especially shaw brothers.Sometimes the film seems like a wacky comedy and its cute and sweet with jokes little kids will love. Then there is random boobs or whatever. And then its like crap hope my mom isnt going to walk in! Or I cannot watch it with my nephew.A lot of martial arts movies you can watch with your little nephews or other kids, but sometimes you watch a movie and then a guy is randomly pouring wine on a prostitutes boobs and hes like 'Wine mixed with milk tastes much better! It's more pleasurable!!
Do you know what movie I am talking about? I can't remember the movie but I laughed so hard. The story was all virtuous and seemed all moral but then the bad guy is a womanizer.You just can't tell with Shaw Brothers Kung Fu!!! Also, why is it Chinese Super Ninja has this hot chick ninja but the guy DOES NOT AT ALL even ATTEMPT to do it with her and instead just stabs her? But then you see movies like Fatal Flying Guillotine and this dude is all boob happy. Killer Clans Has nudity that is not excessive as it is a part of the story, but I think earlier on it would have been more suggested rather than seeing actual female bodies. It is a great movie, but it starts out with a sex scene early on and then has a rape scene that I felt was excessive, but I think at that time there was the exploitation thing going on.Clans of Intrigue has a lesbian scene that is part of the plot near the middle of the film that actually does show a relationship and betrayal.
So it is not entirely gratuitous. The Big Boss comes to mind. I think that was my first nude I've seen in a kung fu movie as a small child. I didn't mind though,hahahhahahahahahhahahahahah!Dude I remember that. I think I saw Chinese Connection and I was shocked that chick is all dancing showing her boobs with tassels on her nipples and her butt is show.
I could have gotten in HUGE trouble if my parents saw that while I was watching it. Also I think my dad saw it when he woke up as I was watching it. He was asleep on his chair and he randomly wakes up OF COURSE when a naked chick is there and hes like WHAT!!! I said oh umm ok I dont know.and fast forward it so fast. If the nudity bothers you, you might want to seek out the made for tv dubbed cuts, I was actually surprised to see nudity in Shaw Brothers movies as I grew up watching them on tv. The way the movies are filmed is so different from western films of its time as well.Iron Fisted Monk could do without the two rapes scenes, the first one's bad enough. I just stick my finger on the fast forward button if such scenes are prolonged or done in bad taste.
The Tattoo Connection has a lot of nudity thrown in but there's no sexual violence. The U.S T.V cut removed all the nude scenes and maybe some of the violence too? There are various things peple enjoy in movies. Some enjoy nudity and sex scenes and its entertainment factor plus kung fu fighting i none movie. Others do not want to watch that and simply love martial arts. Also people have different moral perspectives on what you should watch.
You know certain religions etc.Then there are kids who want to watch awesome fights, but honestly kids should not be seeing sex or nudity like that, they are too young.I just brought this up because I find it a bit amusing or bizarre how a movie can have kid humor and stupid things and also be quite clean but then randomly there is some sexual stuff. So its like a contrast in the same movie which is quite unusual.
Also you can never tell since these movies are not rated and no description given. Its just a surprise.The funniest nude scene is Loh Leh in Clan of the White Lotus. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!
When he flies out of the bathrub I laugh soooo hard and rewind it a bunch. Its hilarious. I don't think most of these movies were made for kids in the first place, I'm under the opinion the violence is worse than the nudity, once again I can do without the rape scenes all together.There are some 'made for kids' KF, Demon of the Lute was a lot of fun.I wasn't saying they were made for kids. I was just saying they are movies with tons of action you could watch with various ages.

When the woman had a baby later that was his I was like how did that even happen!!!?? They weren't able to show anything around that time frame.I think that the rape scenes can also sneak up on you. For the longest time I didn't watch Executioners From Shaolin because I heard there was a tasteless rape scene and finally I broke down because Gordon Liu was in it. The scene wasn't graphic but it was disturbing. Chen Kuan-Tai marries Lily Li's character and she wont sleep with him after the marriage unless her can pry her legs open. She is trying to show her style of Kung Fu is better than his.
He doesn't get anything for a few days, until her father tells him to hit her pressure points and it paralyses her so she can't fight back. I guess he had to do something because all of his buddies were teasing him for sleeping outside the bedroom.

One case that bugged me was Legend Of The Bat. What the hell was that thing with the four lady assassins about? They are caught in a fishing net (naked), are sent somewhere to be cured and strike before being killed - and NEVER does anyone figure they could use some clothes. The worst part is they were featured on lobbycards for the movie.True I totally forgot that. That was so bizarre and had nothing serious to do with the Plot!!

I don't think it was necessarily rape.I think its funny how kids, like literal children idolize Bruce Lee or other guys, and I have to think, did they even actually SEE these movies? Their parents let them? There is tons of violence and death and sex and nudity. The thing about these movies it seems is that what westerners consider inappropriate or gross humor is shown without any shame in these movies. That movie is pretty awesome though and fun. That is the only scene I can remember that I would not be suitable for some kids.You know Gordon Lui also did a sex scene in one of his early films. He played a sort of bad/good guy who was mean. He ends up tying up this girl and then leaving her there.
He never unties her so she has to go pee and then she ends up peeing her pants sitting there. There is a gross close up scene of the urine leaking through her pants by her butt as she is sitting with her knees up and hands tied. I thought it was really gross and weird. I am not sure if she actually peed her pants for real or not. But the DVD came with some hilarious commentary by some Kung Fu cinema expert.
I cannot remember the name of this movie but if I ever remember ill tell you.Also there is a scene where the girl is in a river bathing and he watches her from a cliff. She is definitely quite naked in the water but it does not show her private parts, but it is obvious she is naked for real.Later they have sex and Gordon Lui is all over her kissing her and all this writhing and movement but there is no nudity shown. It was pretty weird. I never thought he did sex scenes. But usually these movies always show the boobs and mouth on boobs, but usually only bad guys do that or rough guys.
But this had none of that but still.Oh Donnie Yen does a similar kind of sex scene in The New Big Boss with some chick. And no boobs or anything shown.
